The Beginning: A Trusted Partnership

In 2014, our long-term partner approached Zhongshan Smart Plastic Manufacturing Ltd., recognizing the potential of our existing JH-616 AC Electric Inflatable Pump.
They initially placed a trial order of 3,000 units, requiring UL certification and GSV factory inspection for export to the United States, specifically to the Toys “R” Us (TRU) retail chain.

Our ETL-certified JH-616 AC Electric Air Pump already met UL standards, and to fulfill TRU’s GSV factory audit requirement, we swiftly completed the GSV certification process, ensuring timely approval for shipment.

Championing Innovation: The Birth of the 90791 Electric Air Pump

Two years later, in June 2016, our partner presented a new challenge — to develop a smaller, handheld AC electric pump, designed to be operated easily with one hand and exclusively supplied to WAL-MART and Toys “R” Us in the United States.

Our engineers responded immediately, providing two design proposals within three days.
The final design included a modified “ON-OFF” switch, changing from a square to a circular shape and color from black to red, giving it a sleek and modern look.

Although sourcing the round touch switch proved challenging and costlier, our client decided to maintain the conventional switch for reliability.
A month-long exchange of emails culminated in an on-site visit in August, where final design details and WAL-MART factory inspection requirements were confirmed.

From Concept to Reality: The 90791 AC Electric Air Pump

With the design finalized, our team rapidly began prototyping, completing the handboard in just 8 days.
After receiving client approval, a massive order of 150,000 units was confirmed in September, with production scheduled to begin by November.

To meet the strict timeline, we launched mold fabrication, ETL certification, and component procurement (motors, wires, and accessories) simultaneously.
By late October, full-scale production began, and the first shipment of 90791 Electric Air Pumps was successfully delivered on time.

Within four months, Zhongshan Smart Plastic Manufacturing Ltd. not only fulfilled but exceeded WAL-MART’s expectations, securing our position as the exclusive U.S. supplier of the 90791 AC Electric Pump.
